French people love to play dress-up. Not the kids, the adults. I guess it’s no different than we Americans with our Halloween parties and Tea Party rallies (gotta love those tri-cornered hats).
You see people wearing period costume all the time. The ladies with their long dresses and shawls,
last popular in the 1880’s, at the bull events.
Or the choir all decked out in top hats at the Days of Patrimony
celebration. So it was no surprise that
we stumbled upon people in old-timey outfits while exploring a nearby town
today.

Is that the flying nun back there?
